A showroom is not a warehouse with ambitions. It’s an argument. A statement about how life could look if the things around you were chosen with intention.
For Arflex Bucharest, Fabricate built the frame in which the furniture could breathe and persuade.
150 square meters organized into distinct zones, each with its own character, all connected through a coherent architectural language: vertical ribbing as the skin of the space; silver-white in the bright zone, deep black in the dark one. The same gesture, two registers. The same material, a different mood.
Fabricate executed all custom construction and furniture elements: the ribbed panels defining walls and doors, the black metal shelving; a display system for design objects, conceived as gallery infrastructure; the sheet metal cornices, the kitchen furniture integrated into a clean matte white volume, and the bathroom, with its ribbed basin echoing the dominant language of the space.
What didn’t come out of the Fabricate workshop are the sofas. Everything else did.
Terrazzo runs from the floor onto the stairs and into the bathroom. Raw concrete stays visible at the ceiling, unapologetically. Yellow accents punctuate precisely because everything around them is resolved, almost severe.
The result is a space that knows exactly what it is: not a showroom in the banal commercial sense of the word, but an interior where you want to stay. Which, when it comes to selling furniture, is the only argument that matters.
