Art Basel Paris 2025 | “Valuable” Exhibition at the Romanian Embassy in Paris @fabricate.ro #proudContributor.
The furniture pieces created by fabricate became part of the scenography for the exhibition “VALUABLE,” hosted by the Romanian Embassy in Paris between October 23–26, 2025, in partnership with the Romanian Cultural Institute.
The exhibition was curated by Adela and Marius Jecza, with design by @attila_kim_architects.
During the same period, Art Basel Paris took place at the Grand Palais, alongside Design Miami, turning the French capital into a hub for global art and design.
VALUABLE brought together some of the most important Romanian contemporary galleries and artists – from Mircea Cantor, Șerban Ionescu, and Radu Abraham to Plan B, Suprainfinit, and Anca Poterașu Gallery – in a dialogue between contemporary art and the 19th-century architectural heritage of Palais de Béhague.
For this exceptional context, @fabricate.ro designed and produced the platforms and display pedestals for the artworks – pieces made of birch plywood veneered with brass, conceived to reflect the balance between design, craft, and art. Their integration into the historically rich embassy interiors was noticed by the artists themselves: the clean lines and golden reflective surfaces subtly captured and returned the baroque light, enhancing both the artworks and the space around them.
For us, this project reaffirmed a simple truth: details matter – and thoughtful design, executed with precision, can become a discreet yet essential part of a meaningful cultural conversation.
